Amber-Like Caul Pendant
This pendant is made from a REAL caul, used with permission from a client.
**Each pendant is unique and may differ slightly from the photo (ranging from very clear to red).
**The size and shape of the glass varies slightly as well, some are more round and some more oval.
A caul is the amniotic sac or "veil" that is over a baby's face when the waters never break before birth. Caul-bearers are said to be clairvoyant, intuitive, leaders, etc. Cauls used to be dried and given to sailors to keep them from drowning. When you look through a caul you are supposed to see your future. They are very auspicious!
This caul is mounted on glass and sealed with resin, then pressed into brass decoration. Every piece is completely individual and the caul ranges from crystal glass to amber to ruby red.
Please do not expose to water. While relatively water resistant, sustained exposure could damage the caul.
